The medial longitudinal fissure (or cerebral fissure, or longitudinal fissure, or interhemispheric fissure) is the deep groove that separates the two hemispheres of the vertebrate brain. The falx cerebri, a dural brain covering, lies within the medial longitudinal fissure. The corpus callosum crosses the medial longitudinal fissure. ==Additional images== File:03 2 facies dorsalis cerebri gyri.jpg|facies dorsalis cerebri gyri File:Human brain superior-lateral view description.JPG|Human brain - left and right hemispheres - superior-lateral view File:Gehirn, basal - beschriftet lat.svg|Basal view of a human brain File:Slide2STE.JPG|Cerebrum.
